The main purpose of this course is to bring very young age robotics interest up to the platform of Ev3 Mindstorms. This course will mainly focus on building different Ev3 models each day, up to 7 days, followed by a “Your day” on the day 8. This course will familiarize students with logical building concepts. Students shall learning designated purpose of each LEGO piece and different constructions possibility it holds, as they build different models using a pictorial step-by-step guide. Eventually this knowledge will no longer be limited up to LEGO pieces, but should be applicable to any other available product or custom parts. At the end of the program, students will be able to design and build programmable robots with the use of motors, sensors, gears, wheels and various sized styles. They will be able to understand and interpret two-dimensional drawings to create three-dimensional models, as well have go through the experience of designing different gread and pulley mechanisme experiencing various torque and speed requirements. Students will be encouraged to understand the internal anatomy, as well as the internal software, of robots we see in our everyday lives.
